Smart Tiffin Box for Nutritional Content Analysis of Food Items using Machine Learning

Most of the people consume unhealthy food everyday as a part of their routine diet. This adversely affects their health as the food consumed is unhealthy. The school children also need to be monitored for the nutritional diet as the food intake during the growth years can decide the healthy lifestyle in future. At present there is no such system to warn the unhealthy diet being consumed. This project deals with the development of smart tiffin box for nutritional content of the food items. The proposed project consist of development of smart tiffin box which can provide warm food every time by scheduling the inbuilt heaters in the tiffin box in advance. This project deals with the concept of smart Tiffin box using AI and IOT for nutritional contents of food items. The proposed project consists of the development of smart connected Tiffin box which is connected to the android application developed using IOT protocols. The smart Tiffin box is capable of heating the food present in the tiffin box using the time scheduled in the android application and serve warm food to eat. The system also permits manual heating using app which can be used to heat the food inside the tiffin box. The Project also implements a camera inside the tiffin box which can be used to detect the type of the food which is present in the tiffin box using Deep learning techniques. The Camera module checks for the food using the image data and updates the nutritional content of the food inside the box in the android application developed to control the smart tiffin box. The system can be used to help hospitalized/ Diabetic people to automatically alert in case of healthy food helping them recover fast.
