Anti Terror Robotic Vehicle For Defense Applications

Detection and removal of antipersonnel landmines is an important worldwide concern. A huge number of landmines has been deployed over the last twenty years, and demining will take several more decades, even if no more mines were deployed in future. An adequate mine-clearance rate can only be achieved by using new technologies such as improved sensors, efficient manipulators and mobile robots. This project deals with the development of Anti-terror Land mine detection robot. The robot can effectively detect mines using the metal detector provided on the Robot. This makes detecting the underground mines easy. The project also involves making the robot multitasked thus making it suitable for defense application. This involves addition of explosive sensor, Wireless camera for surveillance and dual mode control. A First person view screen is also added to view the live video transmitted by the robot on the remote control itself.

 

1. Objectives:

The main objectives of the project are: 

• The develop a robotic vehicle for defense applications that can automatically detect land mines in its path and alert the soldiers preventing potential damage
• To make this robotic vehicle versatile which can handle multiple tasks and thus become a full-fledged robotic vehicle.
• To add multiple control mechanisms to the robotic vehicle, which permits the control of the vehicle using android device as well as wireless system.
• To add Real time FPV this can be used for real time video surveillance.
• To add Metal detector height adjust mechanisms, which permits the mines at varying depth to be determined.
