Air transport being the fastest means of transport is best suited for long distances travel within minimal time. Bags have always been an integral part of travel life whether it is a travel bag or a plastic bag or even a luggage bag. Every bag has its own importance and carries different functions and utility..A number of people travel daily. Generally for traveling purpose people uses normal luggage bags or suitcase but in today’s world, such types of bags are not safe from the security point of view and less hard work and comfort of having a better journey. We propose a novel approach for travel bag safety which will use proximity-based wireless locking and unlocking system, GPS based Tracking System, Biometrically Secured Lock unlock system and Solar based mobile charging system for smart Travel Bag taking communication system for the betterment of day-to-day applications this project deals with the concept of smart travel bags. Smart travel bags can automatically lock and unlock the bags depending on the proximity of the owner using a wireless key. If the owner of the bag is nearer to the bag the bag will unlock and if the owner moves away the bag will lock. The smart bags propose added level of security using an additional biometrically secured lock/unlock system and cell phone based locking system. The Gps tracking device present on the smart bag can be used for live tracking of the bag using GPS coordinates and android application developed for the project. The battery is embedded onto the project which will be used to power the entire smart system on the bag. The power bank present on the smart bag is implemented with a power-out usb port to charge the mobile phones. The proposed solution forms a complete theft prevention system for smart bags using IoT and Gps tracking.
