Automatic Pneumatic Ground clearnace Adjustment System

The handling of vehicle depends upon the various parameters center of gravity of the vehicle is one of them. For better handling of the vehicle we need to keep center of gravity as low as possible. Whereas a sedan car or hatchback has to run on smooth roads as well as on rough terrains sometime with its fixed lower ground clearance which tends to create dents on the bottom portion the car. In both cases we need an adjustable ground clearance system in the vehicle to have optimum performance. This project proposes an innovative concept of automatic adjustment of ground clearance system to increase or lower the ground clearance of the vehicle. The proposed system consists of a pneumatic setup which will adjust the ground clearance of the vehicle providing it with more clearance wherever necessary. The proposed system  consists of implementation of the pneumatic based system which with linkage mechanism which will give the necessary adjustment of the ground clearance of the vehicle. The mechanism will be incorporated in the chassis which will increase the ground clearance of the vehicle. Further the proposed system is made automatic which consists of sensor bases system which will automatically detect the need to lift of lower the ground clearance and adjust  the clearance of the vehicle using this smart system. Thus the proposed smart system can not only provide proper balance to the vehicles but also provide the stability required for the vehicles. The system is also incorporated with GPS based accident detection and tracking system which permits the tracking of the vehicle using the app developed in case of accidents. The system also sends the sms notification to the family members in case of accidents.

The main objective of the project is to develop a smart system for automatic ground clearance adjustment in vehicles. The objectives of the project are:

• To implement automatic in built pneumatic system is used to lift the chassis from the ground without human efforts and time.
• To implement a system to provide higher ground clearance at the time of rough roads and speed bumps.
• To cope up the shortage of most commonly used fuel and go for compressed air or liquid fuel as a working medium.
• To make the system automatic so that it can detect the need for ground clearance adjustment and automatically activate the pneumatic clearance adjustment system.
• To develop a microcontroller based system to detect the ground clearance
