Material handling is used widely in industries. With conveyors being used for material handling, it is necessary to segregate the material being transported over conveyor. This project involves smart conveyor based material segregation and sorting. The materials of different types are sent over the conveyor which carries the material form one point to another. At the destination a sensor is attached which detects the category of material being carried over the conveyor based on color of material. The segregating mechanism then separates the material smartly to the respective category. The robotic arm end effector is attached to the system for pick and place applications.
