Air Inflation In Moving VehiclesWith Auto Cutt Off System

Studies show that drop in tyre air pressure by just few PSI can result is reduction of gas mileage, Tyre life, Safety and vehicle performance. This project involves development of such system which can be employed in vehicles ,which can automatically inflate the tyres to the required pressure. This design proposes a system which successfully implements automatic tyre inflation in running vehicles using rotary joints and hoses, which allows air to be directed properly to the tyres without entangling of the hoses. The system demonstrates the concept of air inflation in moving vehicles, without actually stopping the vehicle which is the general case. In addition the actual pressure of the tyre can be displayed into the car to monitor drop in pressure and enable the system.

The main objective of this project is to design and develop a system which automatically fills air in running vehicle without actually stopping the vehicle using a centralized portable air compressor system that will supply air to tyres when required.

To implement the vehicle air pressure monitoring system; this displays the actual tyre pressure to the driver and shuts down the compressor when the pressure increases above the recommended pressure.
